Origin

As the world’s first known civilization, Sumerian Society is credited with the advent of many of history’s most important "firsts," from agricultural innovation to the first written system of communication. The Sumerians were also the originators of Sport; they frequently gathered together to review and reward the abilities of their most talented athletes.

Sumerian Sports & Entertainment is the brainchild of Stephen Woods, who drew inspiration from Sumerian innovation. Throughout his 30+ year career, Woods has represented a variety of companies in directly negotiating and/or managing sports sponsorships in excess of $300 million (total). He has also represented more than 100 professional athletes, run more than 200 major sports events, taught more than 2,200 students as an Adjunct Professor of Sports Business, written more than 300 articles/columns for various newspapers/magazines and made more than 50 television appearances on HBO, CNN, FOX, TSN and Sports Unlimited.
